Latvian-Lithuanian and Baltic Championships at VilkyÄŤiai, Lithuania.

Roberts Purmalis, 🇱🇻, #17

“Lithuania was a great weekend overall.

Our pace was strong, although not quite where I wanted it to be. The starts were much better thanks to all the work and training we’ve been doing, and I felt comfortable fighting at the front all weekend.

Qualifying went well, taking P1 in two of the qualifying sessions. Starting the final from pole position, I was alongside a car with a tuned engine. Off the line, there wasn’t much I could do, so after the long straight and the first corner I dropped to P2. I kept the pressure on, and when I saw the leader make a small mistake, I took my chance. After a great battle, I made the move on the inside and then pulled away to secure the win.

Congratulations to my teammate on finishing P2! That makes it another P1 and P2 finish for the team—two weekends in a row, not bad, huh?

A huge thank you to my team for all the hard work they put in. Now it's time to keep improving before the next race in Bauska, Latvia.”

Adrians Apsitis, 🇱🇻, #21

“Vilkyčiai was a weird race for me. Although I finished P2 in the final, the pace just wasn’t there. The lack of training is definitely starting to show. The qualifying sessions were decent. I finished third in every single one of them. The final went well, and I got the maximum result possible from it. I’m not satisfied with my pace, but I’m happy with the consistency. I didn’t make any mistakes, stayed out of trouble, and scored the maximum points I could with the pace I had. Overall, it was a solid weekend. See you all in Bauska!”
