Latvian-Lithuanian Rallycross Championship at Slomczyn, Poland.

Adrians Apsitis, 🇱🇻, #21

“Poland was the race where I finally found myself. The practice day before the race was already going well, but the race itself was simply fantastic.

From the very first qualifying session, my pace was strong and remained consistent throughout the entire race. After all three qualifying sessions, I was in first place overall.

The semi final was an interesting one. My shifter lever broke, leaving me stuck in fourth gear, but that didn’t stop me from second place finish.

The final went exactly as I had hoped. I got a perfect start, took the lead after the first corner, and from there never looked back, crossing the finish line in first place and securing my very first CrossCar victory.

What makes me even happier is that we managed to achieve a P1 and P2 finish together with my teammate Roberts. To top it all off, Matas Rimkus finished third in a Hornet CrossCar, making it a complete podium sweep for our team.

It was truly a legendary weekend for all of us “

Roberts Purmalis, 🇱🇻, #17

“ Poland was a race full of lessons. My pace was decent throughout the weekend, although I struggled a bit with the starts. We kept working hard and managed to set some of the fastest times in practice.

Qualifying went well, and after a great start in the semi-final, I was able to take the win. In the final, the start wasn't ideal, but we kept pushing and worked our way up to P2. I tried to catch my teammate for the win, but ran out of time and finished right behind him.

Congratulations to him on his first CrossCar victory. He was fast all weekend and fully deserved it.

A big thank you to my team for all their hard work. We learned a lot this weekend, and now we focus on improving before the next race in Lithuania.“

Matas Zavarskis, 🇱🇹, #55

“ Poland race went very well.

Time Qualifying was very good where I had the fastest time overall which im very happy about.

The first heat was a very crazy one. In 2nd lap I had a contact with Jokūbas which caused me to lose my wheel alignment. That made me lose some pace, but still I managed to finish P3.

The 2nd and 3rd heats were very similiar, because me Roberts and Adrians where starting in the first row in both the heats.

in the Semi finals all three of us started on the first row again. Infront, Adrians shifter lever broke, but because of his great defending I didn’t manage to get infront and finished P3.

In the final i started from 2nd row. Had kind if a good start. Did a not bad joker strategy and little bit lacked pace and finished P4 in the end missing out on the podium.

Most importantly I fulfilled my goal that I had for the weekend and I am very happy with that.

Overall great weekend a decent result and lots of lessons learned

Now im focusing for the next race in Vilkyčiai“
